About The Bernie Grace Foundation
The Bernie Grace Foundation is a registered nonprofit corporation in the state of Texas and a federally approved 501(c)3 tax exempt public charity. Its charitable cause is to assist local charities and our philanthropic community to reach their goals. The Bernie Grace Foundation has a three tier platform in which it works to do so.
Tier 1: Hosting/Sponsorship/Event Assistance
The Bernie Grace Foundation beleieves in the small local cause and that some of the best charitable work is done right on the grassroots level. Understanding how difficult it can be to do that work, and the limitations and obstacles often hindering progress on that level, BGF acts as a "mother organization", and as a legal fiscal sponsor. BGF oversees and helps meet the needs of these charity events, causes, and outreaches within the community to whatever level the committee needs. Its founding mission is to help facilitate philanthropic activities both existing and new through assisting with fundraising efforts, event planning, and both charitable action and donation. Many charitable needs within our community are not met due to the cause being a one-time occurrence and/or its limitations on the small group itself as individual volunteers. This organization will help these groups and causes reach their goals by granting 501c3 status through this organizations hosting, DBAs and bank accounts, fiscal backing, insurance and legal assistance, website/design/marketing, advertising, press, and its network of contacts/services/donors/volunteers. Each group needs something a little different, sometimes more or less than another. BGF customs each groups needs and assists them to best meet their goals. For more information on the events this organization currently oversees please see the Charity page.
Each event/charity has its own volunteers , committees, and organizational structure and assigns the proceeds or assistance to its own chosen beneficiaries and causes. All of these event's funds are compliant and adhere to the same necessary federal codes and laws required of this organization's status. The Bernie Grace Foundation is proud to be the host foundation for each of these charities and is stringent in its ethical standards for both any non-profit event it establishes or helps facilitate and the beneficiaries and causes for which they provide to.
Tier 2: The Generosity Network
The Bernie Grace Foundation looks forward to also providing ways for those within our phoilanthropic community to come together and resource with one another. Quarterly meet and greets allow us as hosts, directors, founders, venders, and service providers to come together and network to find more efficient ways to reach our charitable goals. This is what we call our Generosity Network.
Tier 3: The Giving Tree
The Bernie Grace Foundation also looks forward to using its networking and multi-platform to create an easier way for people in our community to come together in charitable heart and be a part of the great gift of giving. BGF will assist in creating a database and network of individual volunteers, donors, and services which can help our commmunity and its many charitable projects. This helps our community have a source in which they can come to and be able to give in multiple ways. BGF believes the people who help support causes are the heart and soul of its work and will help to provide an easy platform in which to fbe able to do so. Afterall, what better way to give than to allow others to share in that very kindness. This is what we call our Giving Tree.
